In 1983, the Tennessee Conference of Young People in Alcoholics Anonymous (TCYPAA) was founded for the purpose of furthering the principles of AA among young people. The Conference is a joyful weekend of sharing experience, strength, and hope among the young and young at heart in AA. It is held annually, typically in February. Any young people of AA who wish to bid should present a bid packet meeting each of the Bidding Requirements at the next conference. Bid packets are submitted on Friday night at the Conference, and bid presentations are given on Saturday morning. The Advisory Council decision on where the next year’s TCYPAA will be held is announced after the speaker meeting on Saturday night.
